Careers at Hatch Enterprise

At Hatch we empower underrepresented entrepreneurs to imagine, launch and grow sustainable and impactful businesses through programmes, events, tailored support, community, and partnerships.

Since 2014, we’ve grown our revenue to £850K, something that takes the average social enterprise at least fifteen years. Now we’re looking to pass the million turnover mark, and 10X our impact. We want to do this by 2025. This is a deliberately ambitious target and this means bringing together a collaborative team with diverse experiences, backgrounds and skills.

We’re not like a typical charity

As you would expect from a charity focused on entrepreneurship, we think and act like a business. We love experimentation and trying things out and are influenced by lean management philosophy. We value transparency, openness and collaboration – strategic decisions are made collaboratively so we can fully draw on the expertise, experience and networks we have.

Life at Hatch

We’re currently a small team (you can meet us here), supported by an incredible community of entrepreneurs, partners and experts.

Our home is in Elephant & Castle in South London but we have always been supportive of flexible working, which has become even more important in 2021. We’re currently experimenting with full flexibility to work from home or in the office as it suits you, but hope the whole team will be able to come together periodically.

We have an open and receptive culture of promoting and maintaining the mental health and wellbeing of all staff, and encourage everyone to take responsibility for their own mental health and wellbeing. Some of our other benefits include paid time off to volunteer, annual budget for learning and development or wellbeing activities, and 29 days annual leave + 8 UK bank holidays.

Diversity and Inclusion

Our mission is to increase diversity among entrepreneurs– and we want to do the same for our team. We value diverse teams as we can bring together a diversity of thinking, experience and perspective. We’re striving to create an inclusive environment – where everyone is treated fairly and everybody can thrive regardless of age, disability, sex, gender, sexuality, race or religion.
