We recognise that talent is equally distributed, but opportunities are not.

Too many people are unfairly prevented from realising their entrepreneurial potential to positively impact their own lives, the lives of others in the community, and wider society. Join us and be part of a growing movement working to create a fairer, more equitable society. Your contributions directly support emerging entrepreneurs, empowering them to overcome barriers and create thriving, impactful businesses.

I was so grateful to have met the Hatch team who went the extra mile to support founders, any questions or support we needed, they were there. When we needed legal support, the Hatch team connected us to a law firm and the legal advice has been invaluable.

Imagine a fairer, more diverse, and environmentally sustainable economy. One that serves the many, values people and the planet alongside profit, and offers equal chances of success regardless of background, gender, or ethnicity.

Hatch empowers underrepresented entrepreneurs to make the world a better place. These entrepreneurs bring creative solutions from their lived experiences, facing discrimination and disadvantage at every step. They don’t lack talent or ideas; they lack opportunities, networks, training, and funding. Hatch aims to bridge this ‘opportunity gap,’ enabling everyone to realise their potential and start businesses that benefit their communities and society.

Recent crises have compounded long-standing inequalities. If we don’t address the unfair economic system, we’ll be caught in a cycle of treating symptoms, not causes. A diverse and representative economy is critical to a more robust society.

Hatch is one of the UK’s largest enterprise support providers to underrepresented founders. We’ve supported over 9,000 people through our programmes and events.

Last year, 18% of founders in our cohorts were disabled or neurodiverse; 81% were women or other marginalised genders; 61% were from an ethnic minority, and 83% ran businesses with social or environmental impact. In 2022, we established a fund to provide early-stage grants to Hatch graduates, addressing one of their greatest barriers: access to funding.
