The Financial Times special report, Europe’s Leading Start-up Hubs 2025, was published today, once again recognising Hatch Enterprise as an industry leader. Hatch was ranked 129 out of the 150 identified by rigorous research from FT partner Statista.

Europe’s Leading Start-up Hubs 2025, in its second edition, is a ranking of the top centres for founders offering incubator and/or accelerator programmes to people who want to build or grow a company. From around 3,000 start-up hubs identified as potential candidates, 150 were recognised in this ranking.
The Financial Times cooperated with the international data and research company Statista as well as Sifted, the FT-backed leading media brand for the European startup community. To identify the leading hubs, a two-phase application and evaluation process was conducted.
Several elements were considered, with the main criterion being the assessment by alumni who participated in at least one programme run by the respective hub. In addition, the recommendations of external experts, such as investors (business angels, representatives of venture capital firms), entrepreneurs and academics were included. On top of that, the most successful startups coming out of a hub were examined.
Entrepreneurship in the UK
This is a cause for celebration for the UK start-up community, with a massive 29 UK institutions making it onto the ranking, the most of any country.
It’s great to see Hatch making the list once again, and to be recognised for our contribution to the sector alongside so many brilliant organisations. We know how much entrepreneurial talent and ambition exists within the UK and it’s reassuring to see how much quality support is out there to ensure those with a vision have the chance to make it a reality.
From around 3,000 European start-up hubs identified as potential candidates, 150 were credited in this ranking, and we’re incredibly proud at Hatch to be included within this number as one of the few charities recognised. Social impact and industry excellence can, and do, go hand in hand, and it’s wonderful to receive this recognition for our incredibly talented team.
Dirk Bischof, Hatch Founder and CEO said:
“To be recognised as one of the best providers of startup support in the whole of Europe is incredibly special for our team. Everyone at Hatch Enterprise is a leader in their field and committed to providing high quality, person-centred support to those too often left out of entrepreneurship, and to receive this recognition for our charity for the second year running is really affirming.
“Our mission is to build a better world through entrepreneurship, and we’re grateful to the Financial Times and Statista for acknowledging the impact we are making in the sector. Congratulations to all the providers featured in this ranking – it’s an inspiring group to be a part of.”
