The UnderOne 2025 Diversity and Inclusion Awards have crowned Hatch Enterprise winners in the Social Impact and Community Engagement category!
Our Head of Corporate Partnerships, Deryl Thatcher, attended the full-day in-person event alongside committed diversity champions. We celebrated our win at the awards evening ceremony, an outstanding achievement alongside such strong competition within our category, including Trussell Trust and Legal & General.
The award is positioned to honour ‘organisations making a profound impact through initiatives that champion diversity and inclusion outside of the workplace and improve the lived experience of underserved communities.’
Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion
Our expansion into deep-impact support for Disabled and neurodivergent founders last year launched what we believe to be the first-ever startup programme for Disabled founders in the UK. In October 2024, the programme became one of our most oversubscribed offerings for the flagship cohort, solidifying our efforts to branch into support for this group that puts diversity, inclusion, and accessibility at the centre.
The programme culminated in some significant milestones, including seven high-quality jobs created or sustained by the end of the programme and 17 people trained in personal finance, business, or high-quality job skills.
Our internal metrics of success also showed some fantastic outcomes among the 17 programme graduates. The cohort’s knowledge of how to access the funding they need for their businesses increased by 100%, their ability to measure their businesses’ impact increased by 88%, and their ability to communicate that impact increased by 88%.
What’s more, a staggering 88% of the cohort were building businesses with a strong social or environmental impact.
