This one day Hackathon is an opportunity for people with a business idea and early stage entrepreneurs who want to get their ideas down on paper, brainstorm with other people in a similar position/stage and leave the session with a clear idea on what their idea could look like as a business.
Not only is this taster session a chance to meet other entrepreneurs and start building those all-important networks, you’ll get to develop your business ideas, get useful templates that’ll help you do that and practice communicating those ideas.
You’ll be gaining new skills to build your business ideas in a peer group, plus have the opportunity to meet other entrepreneurs who are further along in their journey, hear their story and take part in a live Q&A, giving you valuable insight into what life is like as an entrepreneur.
After this workshop, you’ll have a solid blueprint to help you build the foundations of your businesses, projects and ideas!
The group activities were most helpful. Love the initiative – super valuable. My next steps are to get on with it and get the idea into a reality whatever form it takes.
– Naila

Axtionary came at a time when they were both going through major life changes. They had so many questions to answer and decisions to be made. It was overwhelming. Aretha came up with the idea to fuse a solution to this with our love of stationery and design. A range of paper goods to help you plan, perform and play. They both decided to join the Launchpad to provide them with clearly defined steps to get started.
The programme has helped us in so many ways already. Our businesses we ran before were lean and entirely self-funded, whereas this time around we’re likely to need more support. Hatch has definitely made the process of starting a business more achievable and given us the guidance and tools to really get things going.
Erica and Aretha,
Founders - AxtioneryMaris runs Green Ramona, the first marketplace fighting for social and climate justice within supply chains. They collaborate and support small female led eco-businesses to grow, whilst at the same time offering customers products with transparent supply chains to protect them from greenwashing.
She has always had a passion for travelling and found it even better when combined with purpose, and so she wanted to give herself more time to travel and volunteer in remote communities around the globe. However, now with Green Ramona she is able to support women and communities regardless of where they are; and at the same time create positive change in the environment.
From the people I've met to the information learned, it really helped me grow as an entrepreneur. In 3 months I feel I grew so much more confident and built a support team. I no longer feel like I'm alone on this.
Maris Passarelli,
Founder, Green RamonaNamitha started Saisha Ayurveda, a sustainable, luxurious, 100% natural skincare brand as she understood the first-hand impact of poor skin and confidence. Namitha wanted to reach a wider audience and grow her business. She was struggling with a few things, firstly she missed being around like-minded driven women who she drew a lot of confidence and inspiration from, and secondly, she struggled with clarity in her message and how to tell her story and offering.
She decided to join the Female Founders Launchpad, where she was able to access expert led marketing workshops and network with other like minded women to share her ideas with.
Funnily enough, I struggled with the confidence to put on my Linkedin bio that I am a start-up founder. After Hatch, I put it up! I also enjoyed the financial planning workshop the most, and the programme has increased my confidence and has vastly improved my chances of success.
Namitha Muthukrishnan,
Founder, Saisha AyurvedaHackathons are for anyone who has a business idea and wants to learn more about becoming an entrepreneur. You will begin to learn the entrepreneurial skills you need to bring your business idea to life.
Launchpads are for entrepreneurs who have a business idea, understand the problem they are trying to solve, and are ready to start their entrepreneurial journey. Over twelve sessions, you will learn the basics of entrepreneurial mindset, business strategy, finance, marketing and pitching that you need to get your business off the ground.
Incubators are for entrepreneurs who have been running their business for some time and are ready to start focusing on growth and expanding their team. Over nine workshops, you will learn the skills you need in business modelling, product/market fit, finance, legal, branding, wellbeing and pitching in order to make your side hustle your full-time job.
Accelerators are business and leadership programmes that have been designed for entrepreneurs who are ready to scale their business and impact. Over twelve workshops, you will evaluate your personal leadership strengths and the opportunities for your business to grow, and tap into the knowledge of the other entrepreneurs on the programme to plan your path to sustainable growth.

Hatch programmes are for entrepreneurs based in the UK. Every programme we run has different application criteria that allows us to best tailor our support.
This New Founders programme aims to level the playing field in entrepreneurship, so we welcome and prioritise applications from underrepresented groups including Black, Asian, and Ethnic Minority founders, women and other marginalised genders, disabled founders, and LGBTQIA+ founders. Some cohorts are reserved for entrepreneurs who meet specific criteria, which you can see on each application form.

You can express your interest in one of our programmes using the application form. Try to answer the questions in as much detail as possible, as we don’t ask applicants to submit a business plan or model. The programme manager will then be in touch to let you know if you are invited to an interview as the next stage. In the interview, we will ask questions about yourself and your business to see if you are a good fit for the programme. After the interview, we’ll let you know if you have been selected to take part in the programme.
In each of our programmes you will get access to:
Until further notice we will continue to run all of our programmes online.
Thanks to our incredible funders, we are able to offer the programmes at a massively reduced rate.
For New Founders programmes the fee is currently:
No. Hatch’s programmes provide support to entrepreneurs, but we don’t take any equity or stake in your business.
Like most early-stage programmes, Hatch cannot sign an NDA, but we won’t share any confidential information from the application process or interviews.
Most of the Hatch team either have been or are entrepreneurs, so we understand how tricky it is to commit to recurring meetings when life is so busy. However, one of the most encouraging pieces of feedback we receive from entrepreneurs is that our programmes allow them to take a step back, to work on the business rather than in it. Therefore we ask that participants attend at least 75% of all workshops and events.
After you finish the programme, you will become part of the Hatch community. You can continue to interact with other entrepreneurs, join events, and share news and opportunities.
For the Hackathon, you are both welcome to book places separately and take part together.
For the Launchpad, Incubator and Accelerator programmes, we ask that there is one primary founder who takes part in the programme and attends the workshops. Co-founders or business partners are welcome to attend some events and 121 support alongside the main founder.
