As award season rolls around once more we are grateful that Hatch Enterprise has been recognised in a number of awards across the charity and social enterprise sectors. These awards offer a great opportunity for us to benchmark against others in the sector, build up our awareness of organisations doing amazing things, and importantly take the time to pause and celebrate what we are doing and what we have achieved in the past year. This year we are proud to have made it onto the NatWest SE100 Index, been named finalists in the Social Business Awards (Equality Category), and been shortlisted for the Third Sector Awards in Frontline Team of the Year.
The NatWest SE100 Index, a list of the top social enterprises in the UK, was created by Pioneers Post in partnership with NatWest Social & Community Capital, the bank’s independent social investment charity.
The list is selected according to a number of different criteria to reflect both business and impact issues – including financial performance, measuring and managing impact, and commitment to both climate issues and to taking positive action on equality and diversity.
Hatch has been in the top 100 for the last five years.
This award recognises social enterprises leading by example and inspiring others to embed equity, equality, diversity and inclusion into their organisations and their work in local communities.
Equality is absolutely crucial to us as an organisation: our entire mission is about creating a more equal world, and we know how important it is to continue striving to be more progressive and more equitable in the work we do both internally and externally.
Hatch Enterprise has been shortlisted alongside Arkbound, Be United, Bloody Good Employers, and Social Ark.
The Third Sector Awards recognise and celebrate the exceptional contributions made by individuals, organisations, and initiatives within the charity sector. This specific award considers teams working on the front line of a charity cause area that have delivered an exceptional service and gone the extra mile to support beneficiaries.
The Hatch programmes team, comprising our cohort and community function, are the beating heart of Hatch and have been recognised for the vital work they do in advancing social justice, and particularly their passion for building a fairer society and delivering the best outcomes and the best support for underrepresented founders across the UK.
Rebekah Capon, Hatch Enterprise Interim CEO, said: “It’s amazing to work alongside such talented, compassionate, and inspiring people, and it is unsurprising that they have been chosen as finalists in this prestigious award.
“In a period of huge growth, along with a tricky climate, the programmes team has remained steadfast in their commitment to supporting underrepresented founders across the UK in deeper and more innovative ways, making a real impact on the ecosystem as a whole and always striving to increase equity in a currently unbalanced sector.”
“It gives me goosebumps, because every step of the way is that thing that they have just got your back, they want you to succeed, I feel that the team they have are actually energised by the mission Hatch are on.”

It is a real privilege to be recognised in each of these awards, particularly alongside so many amazing organisations that are each making such a difference in their sectors. It means a lot just to be shortlisted and we’re looking forward to the awards ceremonies later in the year.
