The team at Hatch are a fantastically diverse group of people who want to help shape a fairer economy and go that extra mile to support founders across the UK to imagine, launch and grow sustainable and impactful businesses. With more than 30 members of staff, we’re now one of the largest enterprise support organisations in the UK

Since 2014, the charity has supported more than 6,700 UK founders and grown our revenue to £1.7m annually. We were there for founders through some of the most turbulent and challenging times in recent history, but we’re determined to do even more over the coming years, and you can be a part of that.

What I love about working at Hatch is that everyone is just so excited and passionate about our mission to support underrepresented founders.

We are inherently experimental

The team cares about what they do, and that really comes across not just to each other every day, but to the people that we support who tell us it’s the people at Hatch that make all the difference, and that’s something to be proud of.

We care about our people and giving them the things they need to succeed and develop, and we are passionate about Hatch being a great place to work. We’ve made great strides in recent years to make sure Hatch has an open and receptive culture of looking after both your mental health and wellbeing, and actively encourage everyone to take responsibility for these aspects of their health.

As a hybrid working organisation, our office in Elephant and Castle (not far from London Bridge in central London) is available for anyone to work from as much or as little as they’d like. We provide all team members with a laptop for ease of use wherever you choose to work. Although we offer the flexibility to work from home, there are times when it is useful for us to get together in person for certain meetings and team days.

People matter to us

We believe everyone has potential and we’re striving to create an inclusive environment – where everyone is treated fairly and everybody can thrive regardless of age, disability, sex, gender, sexuality, race or religion. As a charity committed to increasing equity among business owners, we want to do the same for our team.

Research shows that some underrepresented groups tend to only apply for roles if they meet every single requirement. At Hatch, we’re interested in your future potential as much as your past experience, so if there’s a role here where your experience doesn’t tick every box on the role description, we’d love it if you went ahead and applied anyway.

We've signed the Show The Salary pledge.

We're a London living wage employer.

We’re Disability Confident committed.

We're proud to be supporters of the Halo Code.

Hatch understands how useful AI tools and technology can be, especially when it comes to applying for jobs. AI can assist with readability, clarity, structure and articulation when writing applications and preparing for interviews. However, we are keen to hear candidate’s own thoughts and about their lived experiences. We encourage candidates to show up as themselves throughout the recruitment process, as we appreciate everyone’s individuality and uniqueness. So, if you are looking to use AI when applying for one of our open roles that’s great, but we’d still like to get to know the real you!
